Liven up your book shelf with this book nook shelf insert. This a a brick wall library. There are 4 lights in the ceiling, one in the lamp behind the chair, and coloured ones in the bookcase. and these really glow when turned on in the dark, they are bright white lights.
There is a small table which has a hot drink , a book, a chocolate bar and various little nick nacks. There is a little fire, and a tiny mouse trap…..come on we have all been there! There are vintage images and advertising signs mounted on board on the walls. I made the bookcase and put loads of books I made in it, and a little fake old suitcase as well ( made of card) There are little bottles, shells, a plant, and lots of little things dotted about here. There is a choice of chairs, please let me know which one you want.
The background wallpaper is a photo quality image of a vintage brick wall, I have taken natural light and flash photo’s, and it may appear different on your device. I made the chair…..oh I won’t bore you with the list but I made everything in this, apart from the mug the plant and fire myself, you get the idea the challenge is to make as much as can! most from things destined for the recycling bin. All the books are made by me, this has taken an age to make!
The battery pack is attached at the back for ease of changing the batteries, and the switch is at the top of the book at the end of the spine.
The book is black with black finishing , and measures just under 9 1/2″ tall, the book is just over 6″ deep, 7 ” including battery pack, just over
4 3/4″ wide at the front then tapers towards the back. It uses 2 AA batteries.
Hand crafted by me, taking quite a few hours, and made from upcycled books, so please allow for minor blemishes on the outside of the book . Yes I treasure books but lots of unwanted hardback books end up in landfill as they can’t be recycled. Rest assured the pages from the books I use have been removed from the spine, and recycled.
Adult collectors only.
