Virus update. Although in some places things are slowly getting back to normal, there can still be delays due to staff shortages and backlogs, so please bear this is mind, particularly overseas buyers.
The chair isn’t glued down yet, so if you want to swap it for a different chair from another book nook, apart from the ones with the lamp at the centre back of the chair, I can do that!
Liven up your book shelf with this book nook shelf insert. There are 6 LED fairy lights in the ceiling , these really glow when turned on in the dark, they are warm white lights.
A gorgeous leopard patterned chair with a cushion, and a matching footstool.
There is a small table which has a drink, a book , 2 bottles and a shopping list. There are 12 vintage American comic posters mounted on board on the walls, these are printed out then carefully trimmed and mounted on board. I love these vintage signs, so much colour, loving the play rough one, Satan was a man, and Office Tramp! There is a plant on a little stand, and a pile of books ready to read on the floor.
The background wallpaper is a photo quality image of a vintage brick wall, I have taken natural light and flash photo’s, and it may appear different on your device.
I made the chair…..oh I won’t bore you with the list but I made everything in this, apart from the the plant myself, you get the idea the challenge is to make as much as can! lots from things destined for the recycling bin. All the books are made by me, no blocks of books here.
The battery pack is attached at the back for ease of changing the batteries, and the switch is at the top of the book at the end of the spine.
The book is black with black finishing , and measures just under 9 1/2″ tall, the book is just over 6″ deep, 7 ” including battery pack, 6 1/2″ wide at the front then tapers towards the back. It uses 2 AA batteries.
Hand crafted by me, taking quite a few hours, and made from upcycled books, so please allow for minor blemishes on the outside of the book . Yes I treasure books but lots of unwanted hardback books end up in landfill as they can’t be recycled. Rest assured the pages from the books I use have been removed from the spine, and recycled.
